Shipping profiles are a new Shopify feature launched in October 2019 that changes some ways in which this app interacts with Shopify.
Note: Shopify's shipping profiles is in beta and is not available on all shops. The following information only applies if there is a shipping profiles section on your shipping settings page in Shopify Admin.

How does Advanced Shipping Rules interact with shipping profiles?
Advanced Shipping Rules works best with 1 shipping profile.
You can use product groups in the app instead of shipping profiles when you want to charge different sets of rates for different groups of products.
This allows you to set up complex blended rates in the app instead of using Shopify’s version of combined rates.
If you have multiple shipping profiles set up in Shopify admin and you use this app:
- Shipping zones that aren’t in the default shipping profile are not synced with the app, and you can’t add rates to them.
- Make sure the Advanced Shipping Rules rate is removed from any shipping zones outside of the default shipping profile. See “how to remove the app from additional shipping profiles” below for more info.
Advanced Shipping Rules works best without multi-origin shipping.
Rates in the app are scoped only to the first location group of the default shipping profile and the app does not use multi-origin shipping addresses when calculating rates.
If multi-origin shipping is activated with Shopify and you use this app:
- When an order contains products that ship from multiple origins, Shopify’s combined rates will apply instead of the app’s blended rates.
- Rules that rely on complete order data will not apply.
- Make sure the Advanced Shipping Rules rate is removed from any shipping zones outside of the first location group of the default shipping profile. See “how to remove the app from additional location groups” below for more info.
How to remove the app from additional shipping profiles
If you have multiple shipping profiles, you should remove the app from all but the default shipping profile.
1. Go to Shopify Admin > Settings > Shipping
2. If you see more than one shipping profile (other than default), click "Manage Rates" next to your additional shipping profiles.
3. Delete the Advanced Shipping Rules rate from each of your shipping zones.
4. Open the app (Shopify Admin > Apps > Advanced Shipping Rules). On the Sync tab, click the Sync Shipping Zones button.
How to remove the app from additional location groups
If you have multiple location groups within your default shipping profile, you should remove the app from all but the first location group.
1. Go to Shopify Admin > Settings > Shipping
2. Click "Manage Rates" next to your default shipping profile.
3. Delete the Advanced Shipping Rules rate from every location group that appears except the first one. (Each location group starts with the header "Shipping from")
4. Open the app (Shopify Admin > Apps > Advanced Shipping Rules). On the Sync tab, click the Sync Shipping Zones button.
