Assign preferred methods

When an order contains more than one product group, instead of showing all the methods for that product group, the app will add together the preferred methods from each group in an order and offer it as a blended rate.  Here are the steps to assign a preferred method for each product group, in each zone.  Click the Edit button that shows when you hover a Zone Title within a product group. Edit blended rate title

By default there is always at least one blended rate, which at first is labeled “Standard Shipping”. This is the title for the rate that a customer will see at checkout when there are multiple product groups in an order. You can edit this blended rate title for each shipping zone. Edit the blended rate title. At the very top right of the app, click the Settings button. Choose Blended Rates Click the blue Edit Rate Title link next to the label for each shipping zone. Additional blended rates

Additional blended rates ( one's in addition to the default blended rate ) can be added to offer multiple shipping options for orders that contain more than one product group. There will always be one blended rate by default that cannot be removed. A preferred method for every product group/zone will always need to be assigned to this rate, to make sure a shipping method always appears for orders with any combination of product groups ( except if you are using zone restrictions ).  Add an additional blended rate.  At the very top right of the app, click the Settings button. Blending rules

Blending rules let you control how blended rates get calculated.  When lots of product groups are in the same order, the total shipping price can sometimes get pretty high.
